Personal comments:
I went to Barcelona to improve my academic knowledge of the Spanish language, but also to obtain a better understanding of Catalunya's language Catalan. The opportunity ESMA gave me to take a Catalan Language course with them helped me a lot. Furthermor, a very large part of the students at ESMA is Latin American. Their Spanish differs from the Spanish spoken in Spain. Through my contact with these students I obtained a good knowledge of Latin American Spanish.

spanish is one of the languages teached in the university, and it is teached by native teachers, so whenever there were language problems they were strongly envolved in solving them.
