I spent more for calls than at home because communication costs in Spain are higher than in Germany, in particular in short calls (> 1min). Regarding housing costs San Sebastián is one of the most expensive cities in Spain but it's easy to find a place. Travel, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Food, Housing: was the same price as at home. Nightlife: was less expensive than at home.

The cost of living was generally lower than in Denmark, even though San Sebastian is one of the more expensive places in Spain. However, when being abroad you tend to travel more and do more things than at home... Travel: was more expensive than at home. Overall: was the same price as at home. Food, Nightlife, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.

Telephone: I call my parents and boyfriend once a week, that costs a lot. Accomodation: In the Netherlands I lived with my parents. Nightlife: You go out more than in the netherlands, because there you meet all the other international students. Travel: I, personally wanted to see something of Spain, like Madrid and Andalucia. Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Food: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
Especially, if you want to see something of the country, you should save something before you go. It is not nice when you constantly have to pay attention for your money. A good insurrance is also very important. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

I spent more on telephone because I called more, for accomodation because it is a lot more expensive than at home, spent less on travel because I don´t need to catch the local bus as often and for night life and food the prices aremore or less the same. Food, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Nightlife: was the same price as at home. Travel: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Make sure that you don´t go spending all your money in the first few weeks. Make a plan on what you are sure you will need to spend your money on then make an allowance for any unexpected, ast minute expenses (like going on trips with friends, visiting other towns and cities).
