Tuebingen may be an old University town, but the local discos are dominated either by highschoolers or by adults in their 30s and 40s. A train to nearby Reutlingen (16 minutes) is one's best bet for all night dancing. Walk through the town and uphill to get to Farberei, a large disco with several rooms featuring different musical styles (popular, drum & bass, the ubiquitous techno, or lounge). Make sure to dress appropriately - sneakers and jeans wont get you in. Stuttgart also offers great nightlife and is about 45 minutes away by train. If you don't have the time or money for an all night excursion, the local scene is dominated by small bars. There is also a pleasant biergarten on the banks of the Necker River (the Neckermueler). Fraternity parties (Verbindungs Party) are also popular. Monday night Karaoke at Tangente Night is usually packed, please don't ask me why!

Personal comments:
Neckar muller is great if you are a fan of beer. It is particularly nice in the summer here as you can sit out on the river. La cave is a little like a youth club, but it plays good music and is open until 3am every day. There are always parties going on withtin the university, it is a good place to party.

O'Donnovans Irish pub lays all others to waste! Guiness and Strongbow my friends! The atmosphere is good and the owner is nice, although he may hit on you if you are a pretty girl. Clubhaus can be fun, but its always PACKED...stay away from ZOO!! The 16 year olds look 20...beware!

Personal comments:
I would usually meet my friends at someone's dorm kitchen to drink a bit before going out, to save money. Then we often met at the Neckarmüller, the local brewery/bar, which also had a Biergarten in the Summer. We tried a few other places, but Neckarmüller was our usual spot.

Jazz-Keller, the biggest Brazilian music festival in Europe, Hölderlins-Tower, the garden-parties in spring and summer, the Italian icecream-shops and pizzerie.

Bars,DRINK A JUICE, HAVE A TALK WITH COLLEGS. I dont drink cafe.Cultural events, o concert with jazz music, classical music, visit an expozition.
