Personal comments:
I got a room at a newly renovated dorm. I was pleased to find a well equipped kitchen and a cozy room for a fair price. One thing I would recommend internationals is to arrange for an internet connection for the time after the arrive and before they get their login credentials from the university.

Personal comments:
I was able to improve my language skills thanks to my tandem partner. However, the locals rarely ever spoke to foreigners so I wouldn't count on locals for helping to pick up on German.

Personal spending habits:
Cost of living in Israel is among the highest in the world. Germany is more affordable.
Travel, Nightlife: was the same price as at home.
Food, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
I had some issues with my medical insurance. One tip - ask for counseling in English from the International Students office before making any decisions.
