HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I usually join or arrange flat/house shares since I enjoy living with several people. It's more rewarding than being alone.
Personal comments:
They do offer very limited help, but there are other facilities to turn to. Still, own initiative is essential in order to find something!!! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Nightlife: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Usually house parties with following going out to other organised private parties. WICKED!!! Get mingeling! Besides this, Budha Bar to be recommended, though a bit costly. For a nice drink out after uni: Bistro Bourdelle a definate must!!! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: French
Was learning French a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my French How much did you improve your French?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
Don't mingle too much with international students if you really want to learn the language. Also, if you want a shared accommodation, move in with native speakers if possible so you are forced to learn the language!!! Be outgoing, but cautious of cultural diversity/differences. EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Other sources of funding:
Family Personal savings An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Differences in prices Nightlife, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Travel, Overall: was the same price as at home. Food: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Don't live on your own!!! If you intend to go out with friends, meet up at someone's place for a "warm up" since going out (esp. drinking!) is quite expensive!!! Don't take the best of the best unless you can affort it. Rather go for local brands or supermarkets own. The usual really. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Not really. Was quite well informed. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Don't rely on others!!! Do your own thing & people will join! Be outgoing & communicative & don't wait unnecessary long until others approach you. Most professors/lecturers/teacher are approachable if there is any problem. FINAL COMMENTS
Try & make contacts with others who have been there or are still there!!! Ask your your course organiser or anyone if he/she has any contacts you could approach! Find other students!!! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
