Ecole Normale Supérieure
Ecole Normale Supérieure, 45 rue d'Ulm, 75230 Paris cedex 05, France
Description:
The ENS covers a vast spectrum of academic disciplines in both the humanities and sciences. It does so within six humanities departments (Philosophy, History, Classics, Literature and Languages, Social Sciences, Geography) and six science departments (Pure and Applied Mathematics, Computing, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Land-Atmosphere-Ocean). In each of these departments, the activities of teaching and research are closely interlinked. The initial task of the Ecole, to form the teachers and professors of the future, remains its fundamental vocation; but this has significantly widened in recent times, and pupils now go on to a wide range of future careers.

If you're on exchange with the ENS and can cope with the dorms, then you have an amazing opportunity as usually it's free accommodation... This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My accommodation was free under the terms of my scholarship and since I was living in the centre of Paris I often walked instead of taking public transport (which is much cheaper than in London anyway.) Food: was the same price as at home. Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.

The best banking deal for students at the moment seems to be with Societe Generale. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
