My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)

it was alright, I had studied for 1 year french so I had some knowlegge, living here for 9 months helped me a lot, now I can do everything here for myself, I can understand the 95%.
