Description:
Erasmus University Rotterdam is an institution of higher education and research. This government sponsored University, named after the humanist Desiderius Erasmus Roterodamus (1469-1536), was created by the merger (in 1973) of the former Nederlandse Economi-sche Hogeschool, founded in 1913, and the Rotterdam School of Medicine, founded in 1966. At present the university numbers some 15,000 graduate students and 3,200 staff members.

My favorite spots was in the center. What was really close to the place where I lived. Also I went very often to the Concordia. It was bar for international students. When you are stuck at home on a Sunday afternoon, De Doelen is the best place to unwind and experience a good free jazz concert. Biking is also fund and the best park so far I've visited in Rotterdam is the one near the Euromast. It is also nice to have a beer or coffee at the cafes and bars near the Cubic Houses. We used to go to the same place over and over again. It was called Beurs Cafe, but i am not sre i pelled it right. The city was rather disappointing it terms of night life, but the other students were very friendly so it balanced things a bit. Coming from Leuven, "the" university city with the best social life, the big and cold city of Rotterdam was no comparison. But the university did do a good job in improving that, by assigning a group of buddies. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Cafe de Beurs to live a dancing wednesday. Thursdays Hollywood can be a good place sometimes. Waterfront and Dissy are the alternative places which I really liked. nightlife in Rotterdam is quite disappointing (Nighttown, Hollywood,... are not my kind of stuff), however there are some good cafes and bars in the center or the Oude Haven district This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Favorite cafe is called DUDOK, quite close to Blaak and has great Ice-creams and quite good coffee. Best night spot, I would have to say Night-Town on thursdays but Hollywood was funny in its own, special way This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Best club was off corso, in the city center. Other great place for students from Erasmus university is Concordia, but well, if you are from this Uni you won't need this info as anybody knows it. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
