Description:
The University was founded in 1991 as the successor to the earlier Alma Mater Viadrina (1506-1811). Since its re-establishment it has worked along future-oriented lines, testified to by the international student body and teaching staff, the network of foreign contacts as well as the interconnected programmes of study.
Viadrina European University is organised into three Faculties - the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics and Management Studies, and the Faculty of Cultural Studies.

It is a very clean and well organized community, close to the university and downtown as well. Really cheap and above all with the opportunity to have frequent contacts with other people

My advice? Grotte: the night club of the students, for the students. It is cheap, hot and very friendly. Lots of nationalities can be met there.

I experienced excatly what I was looking for: evryday talking with natives and other nationalities on various topics. People there are very open-minded and therefore it was a pleasure to get in touch with them.

I worked during my study abroad experience
Personal spending habits:
I traveled a lot more than in France, I was eager to discover my environment and other cultures, so I spent most of my funds in it. Nevertheless, evryday living there is a lot cheaper than in France, so it balanced my overall budget.
Travel: was more expensive than at home.
Food, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
One huge good surprise: the semesterticket (cost: 80€), which allows every student during one semester to go other limits and completely freely through the whole länder and Berlin. Very good t(r)ip!
