HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? i missed living with foreigners
Personal comments:
It is a very clean and well organized community, close to the university and downtown as well. Really cheap and above all with the opportunity to have frequent contacts with other people This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Nightlife: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Activities, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
My advice? Grotte: the night club of the students, for the students. It is cheap, hot and very friendly. Lots of nationalities can be met there. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my German How much did you improve your German?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
I experienced excatly what I was looking for: evryday talking with natives and other nationalities on various topics. People there are very open-minded and therefore it was a pleasure to get in touch with them. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I worked during my study abroad experience Personal spending habits:
I traveled a lot more than in France, I was eager to discover my environment and other cultures, so I spent most of my funds in it. Nevertheless, evryday living there is a lot cheaper than in France, so it balanced my overall budget. Travel: was more expensive than at home. Food, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
One huge good surprise: the semesterticket (cost: 80€), which allows every student during one semester to go other limits and completely freely through the whole länder and Berlin. Very good t(r)ip! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
