HOUSING
by Kitti, Pécsi Tudományegyetem, Pecs, Hungary
Business Studies, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Because you can get to know a lot of other students living on the campus and you quickly can integrate yourself into the community.
Personal comments:
Two important comments: 1. It was very easy to get an appartment on the campus thanks to the help of the host university, which is very important if you want to move to a place where you dont know anybody! 2. The university arranged the appartments in a way that most of the international students lived on the same part of the campus, which is also great since you find people who are in the same situation as you are: you need to find new friends. STUDENT LIFE
by Kitti, Pécsi Tudományegyetem, Pecs, Hungary
Business Studies, Erasmus
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Brauhaus, Brazil... Event: Shuttle bus party It's just amaizing. There is a bus which goes around Würzburg and stopps at more than 40 different clubs, bars etc. You have to buy a ticket to only one club and than you can enter all of the clubs for free, you can reach with the Shuttle bus during that night! Of course, neadless to say the biggest party is always going on on the bus!:)) There are 2 Shuttle bus paties during one semester, don't miss it! Language difficulties
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my German How much did you improve your German?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
I studied both in German and in English during my semester abroad. Honestly my English was always better, so when I had difficulties with understanding or saying something in German I always had the option to switched to English, because all of the students and teachers speak very good English in Germany. But normally I tried to express myself in German so I could improve both my German and my English as well. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
by Kitti, Pécsi Tudományegyetem, Pecs, Hungary
Business Studies, Erasmus
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Other sources of funding:
None Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Because at home I live with my parents, so I dont have to spend for housing etc. And of course I travelled much more than at home, since I wanted to see as much from Germany as I can! Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Food, Telephone: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
Look for posibilities of receiving a grant provided by your host university! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Erasmus and living abroad is a tremendous and unforgetable experience. I would advise everybody to try once. It really changes your way of thinking afterwards ! In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
For me the University was not that important, the life besides play a more important role as I did not have to follow a lot of courses. But the fact that we were not so many Erasmus Students in this university was a good point. It is better to get to know each other. FINAL COMMENTS
Enjoy the experience, you won't regret it. It is preferrable to open a bank account in the country. You will save transaction costs. Try to do a lot of social activities and to meet a lot of people. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
