Personal comments
The host family experience forced me to utilize my language skills, yet the immersion experience could have extended to the classroom. Most Germans speak English well, so it would have behooved us to have no choice but to be constantly surrounded by their language.

Living with a German family was both difficult and rewarding, and I'm thankful to have done it. The experience has made me want to work abroad in a number of capacities.

Berlin provides every possible contemporary cultural innovation. Friedrichshain is a fascinating and lively neighborhood. The WMF Club is amazing. The record shop Staalplaat is unlike any I have ever visited.
