For a coffee I liked so much those cosy cafes on Haga, the old part of the city. Also nice but more fashionable were the cafes on Vasagatan, like Smula or Esspreso. To enjoy the nightlife my favourite places were Sticky Fingers and Nefertiti, both downtown. Also the main avenue was full of bars, clubs and cafes. You cannot miss the "Afterwork", every friday from 5p.m till 8p.m almost in all the bars downtown.I recomend Avenyn10 in the main avenue.Don´t miss it!! Gothenburg is located centrally in the Scandianivan area, which facilitates trips to Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen. You shouldn't miss a "Norway cruise": 2 days trip to Kristiansand on a party boat for a ecconomical price. Clubbing is expensive and you have to be over 23 (females) or 25 (males) or even older. Nethertheless, good spots are Studentshus (the student house that organizes big parties once in a while), Våland or Nerfertiti This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Phew, it has been two years now, but let me think. Café Tintin is the place where you get the best roasted chicken sandwiches. Right in front of that, you can find a student fraternity, the name escapes me for a moment, where they serve the cheapest beer in the city and that means a lot if you know that the exaburant prices of alcohol in Sweden. Jazz pubs, Irish pubs, free concerts, they are all there! Be sure to visit Oslo, Norways capital, and Copenhagen, Danmarks capital. These two cities are really close to Göteborg. And if you really want to be impressed, visit Stockholm, Swedens capital AKA Venice of the North. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

- Café Olof, the bar inside the student residence (the exchange students'meeting point + cheap prices) - Sticky fingers (for people who like rock music) - Babar, a bar-restaurant good for the after-works on Friday afternoon) - Respekt, a restaurant and night-club. The nightclub Niva is one of the best discos in town! Also the Excet is amazing! You can find a lot of nice cafes in the town center. You should not miss "after-work" which takes place every friday afternoon, where you can eat for free in a lot of restaurants. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The "Avenue" is the main street in Gothenburg and there you have plenty of pubs, clubs and cafes like: Barbar, Diamonds & Dogs, Valand, Excet, Nivo, the Dubliners... Don´t miss Linnégatan which is a street more in the east, also with lots of pubs and good prices. If you are going during the summer term to Gothenburg, don´t miss Varborg and Midsommer! Cafe Olof, at university campus! Definetely the best spot to meet and find new friends! An event not to be missed is clearly the afterwork parties, on Friday's afternoons. There, you can easily connect both with local and student communities all across the town. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
