HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: It was a sort of student campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Olofshöjd, the campus where I lived, was the main student campus, so almost all exchange students lived there - and a lot of normal students too.
The location to the university (30 min walk) was perfect.

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Cafe I liked most was "Smula", "Cafe Garbo" and the cafes in "Haga" - the old street in town. For going out there is are plenty of different types of discos/bars/pubs. I would recommend to go on www.alltomgoteborg.se This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Local language was: Different than language of instruction.
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Was learning Swedish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Swedish How much did you improve your English?
My level before: No problems in any areas (including slang) My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) How much did you improve your Swedish?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
If you go to Göteborg to improve your Swedish, I would recommend to take a course in your home country before. It helps if you do not have to start from zero. Problem is that the Swedes speak English perfectly and you need a good discipline to speak Swedish with them. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Main source of funding:
Personal savings Other sources of funding:
Personal savings Government assistance An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Nightlife is in general more expensive than in my home country - especially the alcohol. I had a lot of travel expenses, I do not have so much at home at the same time - that counts too. Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Food: was the same price as at home. Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
There is a really cheap supermarket: Willy:s - take it, you save a lot on food! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
