The University of Gävle is a young and expanding institution, recruiting students from all over Sweden. It seeks to develop contacts with regional, national and international partners.

The University offers courses of study at six departments: Business Administration; Education; Health Sciences; Humanities and Social Sciences; Mathematics, Natural and Computer Sciences; and Technology. Among the study programmes offered some are unique in Sweden such as Surveying and Mapping, Creative Software Engineering and Health Promotion/Health Education.

Why? because it is more spacious and central to town and university

Furniture, bedding and kitchen utensils are provided for but rentals pretty expensive for international student
