I carry too much luggage and is not worth it. Dutch people are not as snob as others, is not really important what brands are you wearing. Be yourself and always leave everyday experience as the last one. I wish I party more and meet more people, and trust me I did. Read Review

HOUSING
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: A room with other internationals "container"
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I like to have everything in order and clean. However Iīm use to all kinds of accomodations, sharing rooms or bymyself.
Personal comments:
It was a special place for the international students, use to call them "containers". The place was terrible, but my room was pretty good. The other 18 students and me shared the living room, kitchen, showers and toilets. We were in charge of the cleaness of the place and sometimes this make it kind of difficult. The noise was quite a lot but with communication everything work out pretty good. It was the best experience in my life. The university was 5 min by bike and that make the place really expensive, one thing for another.

Travel
Overall
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
Everything start in the "container", cool people from all the world, our living room was the reunion point for the other "containers". Then the Grotte Mart, 10 mn by bike...the best, "three sisters", Enzo, Sallyīs ... a lot of cafeīs, icecream stores, the Martini Tower. Groningen is beautiful, clean and save. The Dutch people are very friendly and excelent host, no discrimination, happy people everywhere and educated. There where a lot of trips organized by the University with afortable prices, in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. I went in one to Rotterdam and to Berlin. The best!!! I have friends, good friends all over the world.

Nightlife, is paid by me not like in Mexico where the gentleman are the ones who pay (most of the time). Travel, is easier to travel in Europe and the countries are really close, so is worth it.
