Housing
Type of housing: studenthouse by a private landlord
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: other stuenthouse
Why?
Landlord was not very interested in the house, thus the facilities were all very old and the cleaner cleaned when he felt like it.

French I knew before and Dutch I had a crah and a follow uo course. That was quite helpful. As all courses and all administration was in English I had no problems. On the streets my French did very well.

Course recommendations
Most teacher value that you are Erasmus, and thus also help with language problems and try not to make it too difficult.

Buy local phone cards for cell phone. I didn't: Very expensive! But all in all you can live on little money if you don't want to make great leaps.

Try to avoid financial courses. Become member of ESB! It's worth it!! And make sure you also get in touch with Belgiums, because your main courses will be with other Erasmus.

Final comments
It was a great experience that I would not have wanted to miss! Brussels doesn't require a car, so if you come here bus, train or plane is ok, you can get everywhere by public transport. If you are here, don't miss to travel to Gent, Brugge and Knogge, it's worth the seeing. If you have any problems, you can go to Dirk, the coordinator for Erasmus, but sometimes you have to keep him on his toes so that he gets going.
