Everybody in A;dam speaks English but when socialising it was important to understand others, but came into contact with people from all over the world so English was the main language spoke in the mainstream

Watch out for the tramps/pickpockets/pimps/drug dealers but they soon fade intot he background after a while and you can enjoy real amsterdam not Stag week Amsterdam
