HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Beacause it was a good experience to stay in a dormitory and it was close to university facilities.
Personal comments:
I've stayed in a double room in the domitories. All in all it the dorms are more than just fair. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Local language was: Different than language of instruction.
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Was learning the local language a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my knowledge How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) How much did you improve your local language?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: Basic phrases Personal comments:
The two official languages in Hong Kong are Cantonese and English. I didn't learn or spoke Cantonese. Most courses were in English, everthing (incl. streetsigns, MTR announcements, official formulars, and so on) are always in both languages! Most people in HK speak or at least understand English. All of the academic staff is very profound in the use of the language. The young people in general, especially the students, speak English very well. Therefore I did not experience any language difficulties. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
