HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? The apartment block that I lived in had other students living there as well. So even though I had my own space, I was not alone. Also, there was pool and a bar and cleaners on a friday. These cost only a fraction more( when divided by 3 people) than the IFI residences.
Personal comments:
IFI did not have its own student halls, students had to live in a block of rooms rented by IFI. These were awful. As it wasn't only students that lived there, girls were oftened harrassed by strange men in the laundry rooms etc. The rooms were tiny, toilets were shared with neighbours, and there was no kitchen, just a small hob in the room. The only plus point was that it was near to IFI. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
If you want the best pub in the place, try O'Kallaghans. This is the best pub in Rouen, with the best, if not perviest barmen in Rouen! Try flashing your boobs for a free bottle of wine!! If you are stll standing at the end of the night, the kiosk is a really cheesy joint that you can boogie all night long. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Other Other sources of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
As at home I live with my parents, I dont pay rent or for my food. Nightlife and travel was cheaper in France, so I spent less, even though I went out more. Food, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Overall, Telephone: was the same price as at home. Travel, Nightlife: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Always buy wine from Le Mutant. Only 1.50 a bottle!! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
That just because you are friends with someone before you go, living with them might turn into a nightmare!! In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
The uni is ok, but there is a lot of social politics going on. The french girls who attend the uni are very possessive of the international men, even if they are not with them. Beware!! You may find yourself getting evil looks and talked about, and you have no idea what for!! FINAL COMMENTS
Try to get a place in Rouen rather than Mnt-St-Aignon.Even though that is where the uni is, most of the nightlife is in Rouen and the last bus back to MSA is at 11.30. Make sure you get a cogito (student) bus pass as soon as you get there, as this makes bus travel a lot cheaper. You will constantly be travelling between Rouen and Mnt-St-Aignon.
