HOUSING
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Campus is more expensive.
Personal comments:
Accomodation is rather good, but mandatory meal plans etc. make living on campus pretty expensive. Therefore living of-campus is more attractive for me. The public transport is not so good around the city, so buy a car or a bike or be prepared to walk some distances every day.

Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment
Personal comments:
Definetely visit some operas or plays at the university theater, they are really good. Furthermore a lot of bars, but the city is small enough to be able to find the good places yourself.

The quality of the courses is really good in most departments. You will probably go to IU Bloomington for the academic quality in stead of the city.

Food, Travel, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Nightlife: was the same price as at home.
Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Live of-campus to save money! Fly to Indianapolis to get here, don't fly to Chicago or anywhere thinking that it will the cheapest way to get here. The cheapest way is to arrange a flight to Indianapolis in advance.
