Same as at home since they spoke French there too. At times, they had problems understanding my accent.

Personal spending habits:
Food is a lot more expensive than at home if you go in restaurants. Housing was also more expensive due to apartment shortage in the city.
Food, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Travel, Nightlife, Telephone: was the same price as at home.

Go to Ed supermarket, it is the cheapest supermarket ever. Good deals!
