HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? I would choose Gateway Rentals, not Yeats Village. Same price but better facilities, better management, better location.
Personal comments:
Price ca. 80 Euro / week in all on campus accomodations. Paying in advance + large deposits. Housing itself is acceptable, but Irish Flatmates use to abuse the houses. They are (unfortunately mostly!) extremly messy and dirty. But there is internet and you dont have to care about anything like waste. STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Personal comments:
Pubs are all OK. Drinking after Closing time: TNC (beside Envy Nightclub). ENVY: dirty place, strong drinkers... VELVET Room is a better place to go. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Courses are not very demanding. They ask for alot of commitment (presentations, essays...) but are not really difficult. If you have the chance, choose a HONS Degree, not just the higher degree. I would do so, if I were to restart the Year...
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Give some sense/meaning to Project Work... I mostly had the impression, it was just to keep people busy.. (when teachers are not really interested in the outcomes...) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
No problems. Teachers react slightly annoyed when they realize that people have problems in understanding. It sometimes seems more important to them to get through with contents than making people understand. But most courses offer TUTORIAL lessons, that repeat everything in slow. Because everything is more expensive. Count an average +20%. Renting cars is OK in price (40/day), petrol is cheaper. Food, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Telephone: was the same price as at home. Travel: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
my motivation In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Dont be afraid. If your English is OK (lets say you are in the upper half of your home universities course) you can also choose "normal" courses (instead of the international marketing course ONLY WITH ERASMUS PEOPLE!!! NO IRISH!!) FINAL COMMENTS
