HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: A room exchange
Why? To live with natives and speak more Spanish
Personal comments:
The housing facilities were nice and I enjoyed my stay very much because there were many nice people living in the house. However it was quite expensive for what it was, and the management was quite bad. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Basic phrases My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
As an International Business Student my language skills in the local language were very technical and it was more the knowledge of every-day language (shopping, direction, social conversations, telling a story etc) that I had to acquire. OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
A bit more about Mexican history and contemporary politics. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Make sure to take courses you will enjoy. The workload is quite high, so if you don't like the course it could be difficult. FINAL COMMENTS
Travel as much as you can. Mexico is such a beautiful country, and there are so many things to see. If you have a chance also try and spend a weekend somewhere far away from tourism with a family, with locals. As a female be prepared that you will be treated differently than you may be used to and that you will have to adapt to the local culture (eg fashion). Mexicans are definetly machos.
