Why? Because it is the most independent way of living and nobody can give you restrictions
Personal comments:
there are also rooms directly on campus at ITAM, but honestly I have never seen them. Anyway there are a couple of "student houses" around the campus which are comparingly cheap and fun to live in

A really good club in Mexico City is "EL Catedral", everynight a band stages and they play, compared with other clubs, a lot of international music.

The courses are very timeconsuming (assistence obligatory for every course twice a week), so plan from the start where you want to go when!
