HOUSING
by del51099288, WHU Koblenz, Koblenz, Germany
Management Science, Exchange program of the two universities
Personal assessment
Type of housing: share house of Germans and Mexicans
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: share house
Why? I need my independence but also the contact to other people, especially with different cultures and backgrounds.
Personal comments:
The facilities provided by the university are convenient but expensive. They are located on campus, but I prefered to have contact to Mexicans. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
No, I really have no suggestions. Again there isn't much I'd change about this program I took a part in. All of the classes offered I used toward my degree. in other words they were alll transferrable
My opinion of the university assessment

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Basic phrases My level after: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) Personal comments:
I knew basic spanish phrases before I went to Mexico, and since I studied there my language skills have improved dramatically. The one problem I do have is that native people speak too fast so it's hard to comprehend. When the language is spoken more clearly I have less difficulties in undersatnding. EXPENSES
by Julia, Queen's University, Kingston, Canada
Business Studies, University Agreement
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Personal savings Other sources of funding:
Government assistance Scholarships Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
The cost of living in Mexico is much lower than in Canada. It is an amazing choice for those who cannot afford the cost of Europe but still want a rich and cuturally diverse experience. Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Get a Scotia Bank account back in Canada and you can use thier ATMS all over Mexico without being charged international banking fees. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
All the stuff I know now. It was my first time going abroad, an to add - I went independently not knowing a soul and a completely foreign environment. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I recommend that TEC works on developing a greater job network with the local multinationals/corporations to place it's students in internships, CO-OPs, and so on. Besides that, it is a great developing network of universities and I recommend that TEC keeps moving forward. FINAL COMMENTS
I recommend my experiences to all. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
