The Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education was founded in 1943 by a group of Mexican businessmen. It is a private institution without political or religious affiliations. It has 29 campuses in Mexico, a student enrollment of nearly 80,070 and a faculty of 6,201.
The Institute offers 31 undergraduate majors, 45 master's and doctoral programs, in such fields as engineering, computer science, business administration, communications, food technology, law and medicine.
