Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
II would choose a house again because it is the cheapest option of accomodation in Mexico and I prefer to live independently than with the family or at the school campus.

Personal comments
The campus at school had extremely stickt rules that the european students are not used to and it was quite expensive. However, it had a lot of facilities and was safe because of the 24h security.

Final comments
Once you are in Mexico try to travel as much as possible, I especially recommend you to see Zacatecas, Guanajuato, Oaxaca with Monte Alban and Mexico city with Teotihuacan (and of course all the coast places are really nice). Do not eat food "de la calle" - bought on the street, you can get sick very easily. Take only authorized taxis, the ones with white board and the number on the front window.

At the beggining it was quite hard to understand the slang of mexico as i have learned Spanish in Spain, but after a few weeks of having classes in Spanish and interacting with other local students I learned most of the slang vocabulary and had further little problems with understanding it.

Personal comments
Tec had a big library so it was not necessary to buy all the books as one can easily get them from there. Travelling is cheaper with the busses, especially for students who get 50% discount during school holidays.
