No, it wasn't.
Personal comments:
well since paris is a true international city i did not experience much language difficulty.Since i have good command of english language it was not a problem and also my university arranged for a basic frenc course on our arrival so did not face much problems

well the currency of france i.e euro is much stronger than the currency at my home country naturally it is lower so the curency differnces
