Kharma is the most popular club for exchange students."Gigglin Marlin" is also nice but you need twenty two to get in for both of them.
If you want to have a good cup of cofee, memphis is there. Hemingways is also a nice palce when you want to play pool while you are drinking a beer.
For jazz music, the jazz bar is a very nice place, where groups are playing everyday during the week.

KOAS which is responsible of housing students, is a flexible and a comprehensible organization. If there is one problem in the appartments someone is fixing it quickly without any charge. If you have some problems about money, one email and you can find an agreement easily.
There is at least on coordinator for foreigners, which is quite helpful in case of trouble.

Academic
Course recommendations
If some courses you are interested in and they are not available in english, ask to the teachers, most of the time they try to make you pass the course through "book examination".The reading material available is really good usually and quite interesting.
