Why? You got to meet and interact with people, and the Finnish tend to be very helpful when they know you. Its the only way to really settle down!!

Personal comments:
The housing was brilliant as it was organised by the host university, i lived with 2 french girls who were in my class, this made it terribly easy for us to get to know each other and become friends quite quickly. The hassle of looking for a place lies with the university therefore you have nothing to worry baout. Its usally just 3 people to a flat so that made it feel more like home and you tend to get on quite well with your flatmates. The rooms are extremely spacious, you get a balcony and it was probably more than i could have hoped for.

Why? Because it gives you the chance to be independent and learn to live by yourself. I think it is a very good experience for those who live with their parents in your home country.

Personal comments:
The university is in a very nice city which has everything you may need. It has bars, nightclubs, restaurants, shoppings. It has a ski resort, lakes and a sports center where you can practice any kind of sports. You can live where you want in the city and you have different kinds of appartments in differents parts of the city.

Why? If I were to go back I would choose to live in a family appartment because I would go there with my boyfriend.

Personal comments:
It was really a great experience for me, I could live with the people from different countries. I could meet their culture. I remember all our "cooking nights" when we were preparing traditional meals.

Why? I would like to live in the place I lived then. A house owned by the Polytechnic.

The first one the host uni arranged me sucked big time. It was an old place, far out. Therefore I decided to move out and I found the best place a person is able to find

Why? because i expect to go back there to work, and not to study. Then, it would be better to live in an appartment with some more space and privacy.

I learned a lot in Finland, the courses were pretty interesting. I had really good teachers.

It has been great that everybody had his/her own room, with internet connection.
