Personal comments:
Don't spend your money in the begining of the master!! Many students get all excited about the fact of meeting new ppl from all over the world and that stuff, and go out everyday (lunch, coffees, etc). Before you realize you've spent up to twice you thought on spending everymonth! You can save a lot of money in food by shopping in supermarkets like Lidl, Aldy or Colruyt and then cooking home. Organizing parties at the student residence is also a good alternative to going out...

Work opportunities:

Personal spending habits:
- The tuition was the biggest factor in saving money for me. After using my scholarships and financial aid at Hanover College, I actually ended up spending a whole semestre at Leuven for merely 60 USDollars, and that's everything (tuition, food, room)! - Cooking on my own was much cheaper than my mandatory board at Hanover College. - I could travel to most places in Europe by bus or train, which were not that expensive. - International phone cards are expensive and may be sold "empty" with no credits on! Be careful!
