The student environment is amazing! There are a lot of activities to do for free if you hold a student card. Everything in the town is made thinking about the students.

Final comments
Cheapest airlines: Ryanair, wizzair, Virgin and Vueling.
Rent a bike as soon as you arrive. It is the best by far the best mean of transport in Leuven.
Look for a place in the center of the city. All of the action is there.
Study during the semester. The professors are demanding. Being an international student is not an excuse in Leuven!
Have fun!

Academic
Course recommendations
I wouldn't take Flemish Art or Economic Integration after WW II. I would reccomend International Market. The system evaluation is a final project in which one can use creativity and analytical skills.

Personal comments
Most of the people spoke good english. At the university everyone speaked english fluently (professors and students). Outside, the academic environment, people normally spoke good or fluen english. I think the main reason for that was that it was a student's town and because Leuven is located in Flanders - dutch speakers.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Because sharing an house with other people is an interesting experience. Not only because you learn how to share your daily life with them but also because of the opportunity to interact with different kind of people. Moreover, living in a different place than a Campus allowed me to know other people beyond the students.
