Type of housing: Off campus university residence
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? There are plenty of accommodations around 1km radius of the university, and it is nearly as good as the off-campus university residence.
Personal comments:
The security of the off-campus university residence is excellent, and shops are within close reach. Facilities are excellent... but the location of this accommodation is quite far from the university, and you will have to track uphill if you decided to go on foot. No doubt there is a bus service linking directly with the university, but the timing was quite limited then. Overall, the standar of accommodation is much better than on-campus. Type of housing: Student Halls
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because you can choose the people you live with although I had luck with my housemates the year abroad.
Personal comments:
Everything was well organised. There were no problems with finding a room. The flats were fully furnitured and equipped. Also, there were additional services like shops, a pub and laundry on the area of the student halls. Shopping facilities could be reached within 5 minutes. The only disadvantage was the longer way to the campus and to town. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? bECAUSE i HAD A GOOD TIME THERE, THOUGH I WOULD PREFER NOT TO LIVE WITH ENGLISH STUDENTS BUT WITH INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS SINCE MY ENGLISH FLATMATES WERE NOT VERY COMUNICATIVE.
Personal comments:
IT WAS GOOD: IT WAS SITUATED IN THE CITY CENTRE(MORE OR LESS)AND THE HOUSE WAS QUITE BIG.HOWEVER I THINK THAT IT WAS VERY EXPENSIVE(AT LEAST FOR A SPANISH CITIZEN) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because it force you to live an everyday life, where you have to visit the supermarket and sign up for different agreements e.g. regarding electricity and heating. You will need to make a bigger effort in trying to settle doww, which will give you some good experience and understanding of things work.

Why? I did enjoy the kind of housing I chose. I used to share a house with german and english people, I was the only french person that was something I wanted. We used to have so much fun and I would love to do it again.
Personal comments:
I think it can be good too but I don't think it is the best way to know the culture of the country. It is more difficult to meet people from the host country (only erasmus students) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? It is the best place to gain experience in British culture as I could live with local students
Personal comments:
The house I lived was awesome because I lived with four British students and therefore was able to integrate with them and experience the real british student life. Facilities are sufficient for an exchange student, very considerate and thoughtful of the University housing service. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
