Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I had an apartment in a big student dormitary in Munich. It was easy to meet other young people there, but since I had my own room, it was also easy to find peace and quite when ever I felt like that.

Since I lived quite far away from the city, I had to use quite a lot of money in local traffic... I have no cost-saving tips. You only live once :)

People in the City and Professors at the University pretty polite and understandable... but if one goes to study abroad I would suggest to make some courses before leaving the home country. Otherwise the first few months are only a living hell!
