I wish I had known...
As student broad, i didn´t really choose the university, for germany it was this one. Otherwise during my stay i follow lecture and have a trianing period in a research laboratory, so for question 3 in academic, i would say that i did have any exams, just a report at the end of the year.

Final comments
From Münich, Prages and Vienna are to nices cities to visit, but just in Bavaria there is a lot of place to see. Some outings are organised by the foreigners office, always nice place to see and you meet knew people
