If you live in Vänortsvägen, you will share a flat, it is not a problem but I wish I had knew before going there.

If you have the possibility to come one year but you are afraid to do so, come anyway one semester and after 2 months, you will do whatever it takes to stay the next semester! ;o)



FINAL COMMENTS

LURC people, wich takes care of you when you arrive, organise lots of trips (Storforsen, Santa Claus' Village on Finland, etc.). But take a look at the STIL (sport association) because they also offer some (Orca Safari's Trip in Norway, Skiing trips, etc.)

We were told to arrive two weeks before term started. This was for a two week induction. Classes didnt actually start until September.

Luleå is renound for the way it treats exchange students, there are several events/trips organised throughout the year, all of which are free!



FINAL COMMENTS

When travelling around Scandanavia, it is quite cheap to fly if you are under 26 years of age. If you buy a stand-by ticket this is even cheaper.

yu should try it for its location. not the best place for nightlife

very good experience. Swedes can be open-minded if you try. don' hesitate to travel (car renting and flight cheap).

before the departure , be sure you can follow the courses you want to , expecially if they are in English.

It wasn't expensive travelling from Italy to Sweden , maybe because of the students' card . The experience has been something unbelievable: so , just try it !

A very good academic and infrastructural facilities, A very dynamic/amazing place,Cooperation between local and international students, Homely environment



FINAL COMMENTS

The world's norther part and one of the most northern universities made this university an asset and spirit. A fantastic place to travel and living in. Great difference between summer and winter attracts mind.

You should either take with you really warm clothes or you should be prepared to spend money buying it there. Visit the Norway Fiords!!

FINAL COMMENTS

Travelling is a bit expensive, but not difficult at all. Just the local traffic is not concentrated on the buses, usually students use bike. This should be your first moment in Lulea: buying a bike!

From the academic point of view it's perfect. Socially, you'll have to rely on other exchange students unless you get familiar with swedish rapidly. If you're into snow and beatiful landscapes, it's a must go !

LURC (the university's international reception committee) is great. They make transitioning from the home country to Lulea really easy.
