Housing was hard to find at this particular city. Lund is a big University town and rooms are in great demand. It was hard to find a room and the host University was not very helpful. However other students got accomodation easily through the host University if they had good priority on the housing list.

It is difficult to learn Swedish even if one is willing to learn, since most Swedes speak english and they are more interested on practicing their English (or other language) than you practicing your Swedish.

Dont be shy to meet new people, make friends. Dont stay in your room studying all the time, but dont stay outside all the time partying either. Finding a balance between social and accademic life is the key to have a great time at Lund University.

Take advantage of any traveling opportunity in Scandinavia. Travel by train or take a cheap flight to somewhere in Europe.
