It was an appartment in an International Student House, which got me to meet many new people. Also, the location was perfect, next to the station and only 5 mins away from the university and the town centre.

Life in Sweden is in general slightly more expensive; apart from that, I participated in more activities (nightlife, traveling, etc) than I would at home. That makes life more expensive.

Well, it deserves recommedation to keep nagging the heads of departments when they at first feel that you do not meet the requirements for the courses; in the end they are very likely to give in, which will give you a great opportunity to do some really interesting AND challenging courses (although in general you will not have too much work on your hands... enough time to enjoy the exchange experience!)

Percentages for grades; facilitates the calculation of any other type of grade than the good/very good Swedish system.

None, it was a lot of fun discovering life in Sweden on my own.

To future exchange students: take part in any introductory activities the uni organises! and be proactive in meeting new people, make an effort right from the start.
