I didn't have a cell phone, I tried to avoid expensive food and opted for lots of vegetables and fruits (which are less expensive than in my home country); however, housing was way more expensive than at home and made a big part of my budget.

Wheater isn't that bad in the fall season (I was told that it gets as cold as -15 °C) which is not true but scared me like hell :).
