If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Because it's the best way to get to know the other students and share "a student life" while leaving really close to the school.
Personal comments:
Despite the student residence should need some arrangements in terms of manteinance and modernization, it was pretty good and the price was quite acceptable. The location was perfect in terms of proximity with the school and the sport facilities, and also at only 15 minutes by bus from the city center.

Why? The 'campus' is near the NHH, I would prefer to live in the city centre
Personal comments:
Accomodation is OK. Not very impressing and old buildings form the 1960s, but you live together with most of the other exchange students. The rooms are pretty small, but you have a private bathroom. Also, you share the kitchen with six other students, it's well equiped and large enough to invite people for a party!

Why? Because you live together with ALL the other exchange students and also many norwegians...it is a great place to enjoy the company of the rest of students
Personal comments:
Arrangement was very easy, rooms where big enough with private toilet and shower. Kitchens were shared (this leads to some trouble some times) but well equipped and with a great view of the fiord. Internet connection was free and very fast. Rooms were also private. It was not a luxus place, but was comfortable and with a bit of things you could make your room really yours and welcoming!!

Why? The location of the residences is really close to the school, and rent is cheap compared to off-campus living. Also, the atmosphere of the buildings is really fun - if you lived off-campus you'd miss out on a lot of the fun of having all your friends close by.
Personal comments:
The set up of the residences is really well done - each group of 8-10 rooms has their own kitchen, which is perfect for dinner parties and pre-parties. The atmosphere of the buildings is really what makes it great, and it is facilitated by the set up, especially with the kitchens.

Why? Because it is a great experience to share some months with people from all over the world. It gives you more chances to meet people from different cultures.
Personal comments:
The residence was little bit far from the city center but very clos to the school. The rooms were good enough for one person and it was very nice to have a kitchen each six or seven rooms.

Why? All the exchange students were living on campus which made it a very fun place to stay. Moreover I shared a kitchen with several Norwegian students which allowed to also get to know local people.
Personal comments:
The accommodation is located close to the university, however it was located outside the city center (you had to go there by bus)

Why? It is the best option to meet both international and local students. It is the best way to have a fast adaptation and get in touch different cultures. It is a unique experience, unforgettable.
Personal comments:
Bedrooms are not very big, and the bed is not comfortable at all, but all the rooms have internet connection and bathroom. Every kitchen is shared by 7 international students. The location is excellent, 5 min. from NHH, 3 min from a nice gym, 3 min from a supermarket...

Personal comments:
It was a quite good accomodation, every student had his own room with a small bathroom inside and a window with a wonderful wiew over the fiords. The only negative comment is for the cleanliness.

Why? There is no better experience than to live with 500 students from all over the world at the same place. It makes it really easy to get to know new people. To live at the Hatleberg Residence made my exchange semester to the best 5 months of my life.

Why? It is the cheapest and most convenient location for students. Housing in Bergen is otherwise very expensive
Personal comments:
NHH arranged everything neccessary without any complications. The rooms are not luxurary but offer everything a student needs

Personal comments:
It's fun, it's nice, but it is not an authentic live-in-Norway-experience. The campus is a world in itself.

Why? It was very nice to live on campus since all the excahnege students lived together and there was a very good atmosphere. I enjoyed it very much.
Personal comments:
The price was a bit high comapared to France but this was not surprising since it was in Norway. Otherwise the housing conditions were very good (very well furnished kitchen)

Why? I lived in Hatleberg, which is a student residence on a five minute walk from the university. All international students live here, lots of social interaction.
Personal comments:
Really the best place to stay, all facilities nearby and living together with many international and Norwegian students ment lots of parties!

Personal comments:
The student hostel is next to the university. Students have single rooms with own bathroom! The kitchen is shared with 7 persons on one floor. You live together with Norwegian as well as all exchange students of the semester - I really enjoyed living in "Hatleberg"

Why? Because on campus you had contact with the different students from NHH and other universities. Social relations are much easier there than if you were living on your own.
Personal comments:
NHH offered housing and when we arrived to Bergen, staff members took us to our buildings and rooms.
