HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? You meet lots of other exchange and local students on campus
Personal comments:
Campus was very nice, although I had some difficulties in the beginning with sharing a room. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Level lower than at my home university, though, quite a lot of work to do: lots of papers and presentations
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Less papers/presentations about the same subject! We had to do several presentations/essays for some subjects about the same topics. Very boring. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your English?
My level before: No problems in any areas (including slang) My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
They speak English in Singapore, but with a Chinese/Malay accent. I had no problems with following courses at university. However, I had some difficulties in the beginning with some locals in the city (esp. cab drivers). This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Personal savings Other sources of funding:
Family Government assistance Work opportunities:
I didn't want/need to work Personal spending habits:
Did lots of travelling and partying, much more than at home. Food is very cheap, same for housing. Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Food, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Housing is extremely cheap compared to The Netherlands. Travelling in Australia and New Zealand is extremely expensive. Cost-saving tips: don't go there, and stay in the cheaper Asian countries for travelling. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
No In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Don't live on campus for more than six months. You will get problems with the lack of privacy after a couple of months. For 6 months it's ok though. But if you stay longer, go and look for an appartment in the city. FINAL COMMENTS
Go travelling!!! As much as you can. Singapore offers so much great opportunities for travelling. Organize your vaccinations at home, it takes a while before they start working. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
