HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Although a great experience, sharing a room with another person could be a bit too much over time. The University was also decentralised compared to the business-community and other facilities.
Personal comments:
Very, very cheap. Close to fellow students and classrooms. Top-class training fascilities. Good student community. On the flip-side; far from the Singapore Business District and Downtown. Very limited privacy. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Personal comments:
Lots of small "hidden" places on Boat Quay and Clarke Quay. Also good spots in China Town and in Chimes. Highly recommend all four places! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
First of all; the language that we used was English, which is the business- and university language of Singapore. I spoke English pretty well before going there, but I improved substantially not only in the business-terminology, but also in the local slang, which sould be difficult even for an English-speaking person. EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Government assistance Other sources of funding:
Family Personal savings Work opportunities:
It was not legal for me to work Personal spending habits:
As the Norwegian economy is pretty overheated and geared-up, most countries around the World will be cheaper. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Living on campus will save you alot. The monthly expences on a room (with roommate) will be around 120-150 Singdollars. This includes free broadband-access and free water- and electric utilities. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
No, not really. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I highly recommend it! Its a "clasical" university in the sense that it contains a lot of clubs, fascilities and possibilities, whether you are interested in chess or karate. It is one of the best universities of Asia, and because of its young age, it is still climbing. Singapore as a city is one of the most cosmopolitan and buzzling cities in the World. You will meet a lot of interesting persons! FINAL COMMENTS
Try to interact both with the locals (for instance clubs at the university) and the expat environment in Singapore (contact your embassy for info on this). Travel whenever you have a chance! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
