HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why? I think that in order to fully benefit from studying abroad, one must immerse him or herself in the surrounding culture. The best way to do this is by staying with a host family.
Personal comments:
I greatly benefited from my experience with my host family, and remember more of my experiences with them than any experiences I may have had in the classroom. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
The Roost and the Glen Royal hotel provided the most pleasant experiences for me as far as night spots and pubs went. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
As anthropology students, the courses were not what we had expected, being that they were more sociology oriented. In the future, I would be more adamant about finding more about the program itself and the courses it contains.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
I can't see how improvements could be made. The course was a good one, but it just didn't include the field of study that I had been hoping for. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Personal comments:
I was fascinated by the use of the English language by the local Irish. I ate it up. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
A private grant Other sources of funding:
Personal savings Work opportunities:
It was not legal for me to work Personal spending habits:
The cost of living in Ireland is just much higher than what I'm accustomed to. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
I had no surprises that I can recall. My advice is to buy your cigarettes in the states, and not in Ireland. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I wish that I'd known that "having good craic" means "having a good time" in Ireland. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Overall, it seemed like a very well-run university. I recommend it to anyone. FINAL COMMENTS
If you like Guinness here in the states, then you'll be worshipping it after you finish your first pint in Ireland. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
