The Singapore Government announced that the University of Singapore and Nanyang University would be merged to form a new institution of higher learning to be known as the National University of Singapore. The National University of Singapore began operations on 7 July 1980.

Singapore is fun but expensive. Travel to the neighbouring countries, especially the islands and spend time on the beach. Tioman, Bintan (Trikora beach), Peranthian, and Phi Phi are not to be missed. You should definitively not miss the Chocolate Buffet at the Fullerton Hotel Singapore. The New Asia Bar, at the top floor of the Swiss Hotel near the Esplanade is the trendiest night spot. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
