Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because off campus we were free to organize our days without any sort of constraints and to manage our social lives in the most indipendent way. Furthermore.. so nice to share a flat, cook, have parties in your own place together with friends from all over the world..
Personal comments:
We were living at the 15th floor of a sky scraper 20 min far from the campus but we were pretty close to the City so that we didn't miss the facilities of the Campus.

Personal comments:
I wasn't used to an American-like academic system but i think it's more efficient and fair In Italy we are expected to study much more deeply the text book and learn almost at memory mainly on theoretical basis. American system focused more on practical issues.

Personal comments:
English was the official language in Singapore. I love their slang and their cute chinese accent.. they call it Singlish!! The English of one of my professors was really bad and this fact made me hate his course.

Personal spending habits:
Food at those "Hawker Centres" and at the Canteens on Campus was pretty good and really cheap and i think this is common in Asia. Accomodation was much cheaper than in Milan but I think there were some agreements with the ubiversity. The phone bill was relly expensive.. I left my girlfriend back home and we wanted to talk every day..
Telephone: was more expensive than at home.
Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was the same price as at home.
Food, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
