Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I had my own space, the appartement was nice and I lived together with US-Americans what made me get to know their cultural background, their habits and I could improve my language skills.
Personal comments:
It was a nice Appartement Complex on Campus where I got the chance to get to know a lot of nice people from the US but also from all around the world.

Could've been a bit better.
Disappointing.

Interaction with teachers
Interaction with other international students
Interaction with local students
Course recommendations:
Courses are interesting to see interaction between American students and teachers and to see teachig methods tey employ, not for the actual stuff of the lectures.

Overall
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations
My level after: At ease in most situations
Personal comments:
For me it was no problem to talk or express myself in English either inside or outside class! What I had to get used to was the "Southern Slang" as well as my roomies' slang who were all African American! But I learned a lot and had a rellay great time with them as well as in class and with the other exchange students. I definiteley improved my language skills.

OVERALL

Important to choosing this university...
Academic reasons
KEY:
Very Important.
Important.
Not really important.
Unimportant.
Culture
Costs
Activities
Campus life
Party / people
Weather / Location
I wish I had known...
the actual costs. university housing rigid policies and enforcement of the policies in question.
In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
KEY:
Happened all the time.
Happened quite a lot.
Happened a bit.
Didn't happen.
Traveled
Improved language skills
Met people from other countries
Became more independent
Partied a lot
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies/career
Personal recommendation:
Don't expect university to help when it comes to travelling or anything else. You must take initiative. If you're into independent planning you'll love it, otherwise better choose a different place.
