Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
It's easier to be on campus for the first time you traval abraod, because it helps you a lot: you don't have to worry for a lot of things. I personnaly spent only a quarter in the dorms. First because it was quite expensive and then becauseit can be hard to really work efficiently when you're in the dorms. So i took an appartmeent out of campus (but still close) with 4 other students.

The place was ok, it was pretty clean, not great (especially for the price!!) but ok. My main problem was actually my roomate with whom I had no common interest!! But the experience was overall a good experience and I keep a good souvenir of it!

Boston is a nice city. It really European "Europop" as bostonians call the city!! So there are a lot of place when you can feel "at home" if you miss yur country, for instance just go to the sonsie on New berry and you'll feel like in London! But if you want to see some different palces you should go thethe Lava bar, it's a night club, with windows over the Charles river, the view is great! Or once a month you can go to the Villa Victoria, it's the name of a party organised in a Church, people are great, the music is very good and everybody always has a good time.

Academic
Course recommendations
The best thing is to choose your classes according to what you like to do! I personnally did not chose all of my classes cause I had a lot of requiremnt regarding to my double diploma! Marketing class are great and if you can take a class where the main activity is a simulation it's a very good experience!!

Final comments
Just a thing if you're staying for a long time, you may have troubles around the third month. What I mean about trouble is that you may feel unconfortable in the country, be fed up with everything! Don't worry, it happens to every one, the 3-months cap is always like that, there pretty nothing to do about it!

the financial surprise is huge!! life is really expensive especially when the euro is low! no special cost saving tips, only that if you can get a job thanks to a special visa it can helps you a lot. It did work for 5 monthes as an intern and as was pretty well paid ( as all the interns in the us) so during this time I lived by myself and saved some money.

Beginnings where quite hard for me! Especially during classes!! particpation to classes is really important in the US and you have to raise your hand quite often. At the begining I had a hard time to follow all the debates and discussions within the class, but after 2 or 3 monthes things becames easier! Actually you don't even realize that you're getting better and better everyday, and that's the best part of it!
