HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Great way to meet students.
Personal comments:
I was provided accomodation at BSV a appartment/dormitory for students. The facilities were excellent. The cost was on the higher side but one has to accept that in Norway. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Nightclub: Camelot (Best place to be on a Saturday night after midnight, Cover charges 70 Kr). There are many good pubs all around Sandvika but the college pub serves the cheapest beer, 26 Kr, while outside its around 50 Kr. The college cafe is great place to hangout between classes and for discussions. The college arranges a party at a nightclub in Oslo every month which is not to be missed. There is a Kino (Movie theatre) play a number of latest english movies (70 Kr). If you want more entertainment, Oslo is only 20 minutes by train from Sandvika. My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Finance courses at the advance level are pretty tough, so are some of the Strategy courses. Other courses are quite easy.
My opinion of the university assessment

Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Was learning the local language a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my knowledge How much did you improve your local language?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: Did not speak it Personal comments:
Everyone in Norway speaks good English, so learning the local language was not necessary. If one can learn it, it's better but not compulsory. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I didnt know how easy it was to travel around europe, Had I known I would have planned it better. Also I thought Norway would be too cold and had carried extra wollen clothes which were not necessary. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Go there and enjoy the Norwegain way of life. FINAL COMMENTS
Travelling around europe is very easy and therefore before going get visas for those countries not covered under schengen like UK, Switzerland, Czech republic etc. Busses are cheaper than trains. One can buy the Euroline Bus pass and save money. Also keep a lookout for cheap airlines like Ryanair, Goodjet, Gofly, Easyjet as they offer really cheap and sometime free tickets. I travelled on a Goodjet from Oslo to Paris for 19 euro. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
