Description:
In November 1647 Archbishop Melchior Otto Voit from Salzburg (Austria)founded the first college in Bamberg, named "Academia Ottonia", comprising faculties of theology and philosophy. Today the university consists of five faculties and one department and administers a modern and specialised offer of study fields in the humanities, social sciences, and business.

Course recommendations:
Unless you want to concentrate specifically on a field, out of choice or because you have to, try something different. It's the best chance you'll have, but make sure that the courses you do decide to take improve your knowledge of your host country's language. That is the most important thing.

If looking for business courses Marketing Analysis is a good option as you get assessed in relation to the other international students=better marks!

Course recommendations:
Well, at German universities, the quality is questionable as compared to the Anglo-American system. Professors are pretty aloof and unavailable and the courses are generally not examined, so there is no good incentive to put effort in. The ones that are graded are done so with a long paper and a presentation, which can be difficult if in a foreign language.

Other than completely reworking the German university system, probably not. Having also studied at a larger German university, Bamberg was far better. But it's still the bizarre German system. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
