HOUSING
by Ana, Universidad de Oviedo, Oviedo, Spain
Engineering, Chemical, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I chose to live with other german students because I thought it was the best way of improving my language skills, so maybe if I had to go back AS A STUDENT, I would do that again.
Personal comments:
I first decided to apply for a room in one of the University's dorms, but I was so disappointed with the place, the cleanliness the absence of german students and the price, that I left and started looking for another place. One of the best things I've ever done! ACADEMIC
by Ana, Universidad de Oviedo, Oviedo, Spain
Engineering, Chemical, Erasmus
My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Inform yourself about all the possible lectures, teachers are normally really nice and ready to adapt their timetables to their student's. In Spain it was quite the opposite!
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Maybe the practical training in the laboratories could have been a little more practical... This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my German How much did you improve your German?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
The languages of instructions were English and German. German was more difficult at the beginning, but the examinations were oral, and I could pass them well. The subjects in English were passed without problems This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
by Ana, Universidad de Oviedo, Oviedo, Spain

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Maybe I would have tried studying some more semesters, not as an Erasmus student, but as normal student. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
There are great opportunities to make practical trainings. Maybe it is worthy changing a bit nightlife for a few more opportunities of improving your C.V. I do not regret it at all! FINAL COMMENTS
Talk to someone who lives in the city to know which places you should not go to. Racial issues can be important here, but easy to avoid with a little bit common sense. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
